About CBS

The Colocalization Benchmark Source (CBS) project is the result of over ten years of our research into the quantification of colocalization of fluorescence markers. After publishing a number of papers, we realized that the biggest problem in this field is not how to obtain quantitative colocalization data, but how to properly use the results so that they are understandable and comparable across different analytical tools and laboratories. In our experience, using computer-simulated image sets with precisely known degrees of colocalization helps address this issue. Recognizing their value to fellow researchers and responding to numerous requests, we are pleased to share these image sets with the scientific community.


CBS was created by Vadym Zinchuk, M.D., Ph.D., Yong Wu, Ph.D., and Olga Grossenbacher-Zinchuk, M.D., Ph.D.
